The Glassy Lady Online: Somerset, Kentucky, United States; Teri Woodward, aka The Glassy Lady Online. For so many artists, their work is simply what they feel compelled to do. “I am addicted to Stained Glass,” says Teri Woodward. “The ideas just come and I frequently don’t have enough time to do them.” Born in Southern California, she is late to the world of art. Although she took charcoal lessons when she was 11, “And I was not bad”, she says, “ I won a first place ribbon at the Arizona State Fair for that one and only work from that class.” Life got in the way. Forty years later she got the opportunity to buy a home stained glass studio from someone who no longer was working and has never looked back. She likes to work in came construction on panels of animals. Being an animal lover, she combines her love of animals and stained glass with pet portraits. “It is challenging to take a picture and capture the essence of the pet through the striations in the glass and the way the glass is cut.”, She said, “And being self-taught, I tend to bend the rules and frequently learn lessons.”
